ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The DALY Active Balance BMS series is the successor to the “blue” 100Balance-Active BMS series. Improvements over the predecessor include the connector design and temperature stability. DALY has also returned to red—its traditional casing color—while retaining all the features of the 100Balance-Active series.
The BMS is equipped with an active high-current balancer. The device is fully customizable. This means that it can be used to support Li-Ion, Li-FePO4, LTO cell packages. It is designed to work with varying numbers of cells (within the range specified for the given BMS).
Wide communication capabilities of the BMS (BT mobile app, WiFi, RS485, CAN, screens, and indicators) allow for monitoring battery parameters and adjusting them to specialized needs.
DALY Active Balance BMS units allow for the parallel connection of battery packs without the need for the additional parallel modules required by standard DALY SMART BMS models. In this configuration, the balancing current between packs is limited to 1A. If 5A or 15A is required, additional parallel modules can still be used.
DALY Active Balance BMS units support communication with most inverters available on the market. For single battery units, communication can be established directly via the CAN/RS485 port (requiring a custom cable and the selection of the appropriate protocol in the BMS app). However, using an additional “Comboard” module is a more convenient option, as it features ready-made RJ45 outputs for the inverter. When multiple battery units are connected in parallel, the use of these boards is mandatory.
Common power port (P-) – it is not required to run a separate cable from the charger. Charging and discharging occur through the same wire.
Before starting the BMS, it must be connected to the pack strictly according to the attached instructions.
The BMS kit includes temperature probes, a switch, and a plug for the RS485/CAN connector.
NOTE: The BT module is built into the device. No additional module is required.

NOTE: Despite significantly reduced power consumption in the new SMART BMS series, there is a risk of the battery pack discharging during prolonged storage. Such self-discharge is neither monitored nor controlled by the BMS. This can lead to cell damage, particularly in packs with lower capacity or those that were heavily discharged prior to storage. During long-term storage, it is necessary to periodically check the battery voltage and recharge it if required.
To program and monitor parameters, it is necessary to download the application. It is available on Android and iOS.
