The DALY Active Balance BMS series is the successor to the previous “blue” 100Balance-Active series. Compared to its predecessor, the new series features improved connector design and enhanced temperature stability. DALY has also returned to its traditional red housing colour. At the same time, all the features of the 100Balance-Active series have been retained.
The BMS is equipped with a high-current active balancing system. The device is fully configurable, allowing it to support Li-Ion, LiFePO4 and LTO battery packs. It is designed to operate with different cell configurations, within the range specified for each BMS model.
The BMS offers extensive communication capabilities, including Bluetooth mobile app connectivity, Wi-Fi, RS485, CAN, as well as support for displays and indicators. These features enable comprehensive monitoring of battery parameters and configuration to meet specialised application requirements.
DALY Active Balance BMS units support the parallel connection of battery packs without requiring the additional parallel modules used with standard DALY SMART BMS models. In this configuration, the balancing current between battery packs is limited to 1A. If a higher balancing current of 5A or 15A is required, additional parallel modules can still be installed.
DALY Active Balance BMS units support communication with most inverters available on the market.
For single battery storage systems, communication can be established directly via the CAN/RS485 interface (a suitable communication cable must be prepared and the appropriate protocol selected in the BMS application). However, a more convenient solution is to use an additional Comboard module, which features dedicated RJ45 connectors for direct connection to the inverter. When multiple battery storage units are connected in parallel, the use of Comboard modules is mandatory.
Common power port (P-) – there is no need to run a separate cable from the charger. Both charging and discharging take place through the same cable.
Before commissioning the BMS, it must be connected to the battery pack strictly in accordance with the supplied instructions.
The BMS package includes temperature sensors, a power switch and a connector plug for the RS485/CAN interface.
NOTE: The Bluetooth (BT) module is built into the device. No additional module is required.

WARNING: Despite the significantly reduced power consumption of the newer SMART BMS series, there is still a risk of battery pack discharge during prolonged storage. This self-discharge is not monitored or controlled by the BMS and may result in permanent cell damage, particularly in battery packs with lower capacities or those that were significantly discharged before storage.
For long-term storage, the battery voltage must be checked periodically and the battery recharged when necessary.
To configure the BMS and monitor its operating parameters, the dedicated mobile application must be downloaded and installed. The application is available for both Android and iOS devices.
