Additional information

The Daly high-current active balancer is used to equalize the voltages of individual cells operating in one package.

Specially designed for large capacity packages.

New in the DALY offer.

Following the increase in cell capacity, balancers with high current equalizing cell voltages have been developed. They enable quick compensation of differences resulting from production discrepancies, different initial state of charge or, in the case of previously used cells, their different history.

5A high-current balancers are recommended primarily for cells with a capacity above 100Ah, the condition of which indicates that there may be differences in charging characteristics.

The task of the additional balancer is to transfer energy from the stronger cells to the weaker ones, so that they are less loaded, which results in a larger usable capacity of the package and a slower rate of its natural loss.

Such a balancer also allows you to build a pack from cells that are not in the same state of charge.

Daly active balancers are specially designed to work with Daly BMS. This means that both balancers, active external and passive in the BMS, can work simultaneously without interfering with each other.

High-current balancers are produced in a standard version – without the possibility of viewing and setting parameters. The balancing process is fully automatic.

The active balancer complements the BMS. It doesn’t replace it in any way.

However, the Daly balancer can be used as a separate device, e.g. for initial cell alignment. The presence of BMS is not necessary for its operation.

The balancer is connected to the package, just like the BMS. It is required to make two parallel leads from each cell, one for the BMS, the other for the balancer.

It comes complete with a cable for connecting individual cells.

NOTE: it is necessary to purchase a balancer for a certain number of cells connected in series. Eg. an 8S balancer is required for the LifePO4 8S pack. In the case of a balancer, the type of cells (LI-FePO4, LI-Ion, etc.) does not matter. Only the number of cells matters.
